Trusto Corp On Everlast's 'I Get By' Video (EXCLUSIVE)
very interesting read, incl. behind the scenes video

"Don't call him 'Country'. Everlast is 'HipHop', dammit."
haha... yeah, I like the album, but how the fuck is "The Crown" hiphop?! sounds like Toby Keith to me (for those unfamiliar with country, he's a right wing, redneck, hillbillie, red state idiot, yet very successful and probably not a friend of Willie Nelson's)
so I checked the Redlight King album... not my cup of coffee. weird mix of rap and rock, but not as classy as E, and they can't really decide what genre they actually tend to. I wonder what Neil Young has to say about this:
http://soundcloud.com/bobo-meets-rhettmatic
new funk/break mixes
news bits: y'all hear the new The Roots w/ Big KRIT? from some upcoming concept album of theirs. awful, sounds like some 80s r&b-pop until Black Thought comes in (who only has a short verse anyway) / The Roots also have an album coming with Betty Wright ("Clean Up Woman", vocal coach for the young Joss Stone, etc) which I'm really looking forward to / Muggs posted on facebook that Fredwreck has an album coming out - hopefully w/ Whitey Ford on a track or two / soulassassins.com is dead, huh? +
some fat man after all:

beg them to be kind
cause they'll be running shit
when you're old, deaf, dumb and blind
I see it in my own family now and how my father, aunt and grandmother act
square7 vs. blogspot
it looks like square7 take ages to fix their shit.
unfortunately I cannot user/pass protect the entire subdomain because blogspot doesn't support it (I guess they want to prevent illegal activities this way), but the transparent encryption I found is pretty cool and secure. is anyone having problems with the encrypted sections here? if you do, just let me know. it should work with most browsers (even IE), not sure about mobile devices.

wow, I'm so not "one step ahead" lately... damn
first, the album is available digitally September 27 and I dont know about it.
then, the video drops October 6 or so, and I dont know about it either.
http://vimeo.com/30211130 (from the director's account)
this is the full version complete with slowed down audio, visual intro/outro and even the additional horn in the beginning
I guess lb|4eVeR needs to re-do this w/ HQ audio once again =)

Ron Paul

Ron Paul wants to lower the corporate tax rate (he proposes to 15 percent),fuck yeah! I assume he won't join Occupy Wall Street anytime soon, huh?
extend the Bush-era tax cuts and end taxes on capital gains and dividends.

wednesday
OK I found a way to encrypt content here too, so here you go:
:)
"The Rain"
live, recorded in some in-store yesterday
NYT: brief interview
Q&A
New York Times on Occupy Wall Street and music
claiming they/we (occupy worldwide) still lack an anthem
article on SOTUL mixdown (technical shit)
and a little history
fye bonus tracks might soon come this way too
so the video is not only missing the first half or so second of the song, but also features the slowed down amazon/7digital copy of the song. aight. this is what happens when you let your buddies handle your shit. I'm not totally against that, but sometimes it just doesn't pay up.
also, adjusted the layout a little so it's not as ugly as it gets :)

tuesday
square7 now say "it's several TB (terabytes) data so it's going to take a while" :/ which makes me wonder, why didn't they mention the several TB on sunday?
in the meantime, check this: I totally forgot about this post.
apparently I wrote it a year before I posted the track, but I swear I do not remember any of the info given there. it's interesting though isn't it? the much weaker album version was produced by Dante Ross eventually.
oh and the iTrash bonus tracks are "album only". I'll try to get them (Saving Grace, especially) but if that does not work out, fuck it.
French are cheap.
"I Get By" video (ultra clean cuz Viacom - MTV owner - don't like gettin high)
Muggs: I like what I hear from 1:36, but otherwise I fear the album could be called "Shit In Yo Face" instead.
Blue Sky Black Death - To Hold And Hope.mp3
boring, from a compilation with more boring tracks by other artists
"Howie... 2", anyone?
